Group controller

As a group controller you get a unique opportunity to further professionalize the financial department within the Hallo group. Through an active buy & build strategy, we have experienced significant growth in recent years. With our new investor KLAR Partners on board, we're aiming to strengthen this growth even further across Europe.


In this role, you will work in an environment that is always evolving. With a down-to-earth culture and ample opportunities for self-development and role evolution, you will be responsible for financial reporting and continuously improving the accounting and control cycle across the entire group. Additionally, you will prepare periodic reports for shareholders and banks.


You will also actively collaborate with other finance colleagues, including the administration department, financial and business control, CFO, and external stakeholders such as banks and accountants. This is a versatile role with significant responsibility, offering the freedom to drive change and make an impact!


Your daily tasks will include:

  • Consolidating and analysing the monthly results of the group
  • Taking care of working capital management and cash flow management
  • Organizing the audit and ESG implementation
  • Harmonizing and professionalizing the accounting and control cycle
  • Integrating newly acquired companies within the Hallo group

Vereisten

What we are looking for

  • University degree in accountancy, preferably RA
  • 5 to 7 years of relevant work experience in accountancy
  • Previous experience as a group, financial, or concern controller is a strong plus
  • Preferably experience and expertise in:
  • Private Equity-backed companies with Buy and Build and integration strategies
  • International consolidations and related reporting structures
  • Acquisition accounting and taxation such as VAT, corporate income tax, transfer pricing
  • Proactive, analytically strong, can-do attitude, continuously seeking improvement
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-changing environment
  • Team player with the expertise to develop the finance organization to the next level
  • Excellent command of the English language, both written and spoken


What we offer

You will have the opportunity to initiate and implement improvements in processes and tasks. The team is growing and already highly motivated to ensure that the administration is in order on a daily basis. We work closely together while operating from different locations. We gather at our office in Amsterdam at least once a week.
